Thank you, Kilz!

Some of you noticed the comment from Kilz on the last kitchen post. I was certainly surprised to see that they found the post within hours of me putting it up (or at all, really!)  For those who missed it:

Hello Meghann! My name is Katy and I'm the social media coordinator for KILZ brand products. I came across your blog and I noticed you had an issue with our KILZ Premium primer. Can you email me directly at ask@kilz.com with more detail on the problems with the primer? Also, please detail the steps you took to prepare the surface, if any. Thanks!
I corresponded with them, and they were so kind, reaching out to their research and development team to see what the issue might have been. I have been so impressed with their quick responses and their wonderful customer service.

For those who have an issue with the Kilz Premium primer remaining tacky, their response was that it can be painted even if it's slightly tacky after a couple days of drying time. It's a complaint that they've heard before and it's my understanding that they are looking into the formula to try to improve it. Katy (my contact at Kilz) also recommended their Kilz 2 Primer for future projects that don't require a heavy duty stain or odor blocker. They offered a refund on the product I selected, which was certainly kind and unexpected.

Thank you, Kilz, for working hard to help your customers!
